This page explains what happens to personal information on d1nsart.com. The website is an artist’s portfolio. It sells nothing, it carries no advertising, and it does not track the people who visit it.
Who is responsible
Dominique-Nicole Sotuminu is the data controller for this website. You can reach her at maild1nsart@gmail.com.
The website is built and looked after on her behalf by B2B Engine, which acts as a data processor and follows her instructions.
What is collected, and why
When you send a message through the contact form
The form asks for your name, your email address, a subject and your message. All four are used to read your enquiry and reply to it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, the interest being to answer someone who has chosen to make contact.
When you simply look at the website
The web server keeps ordinary access records. Those records include your internet protocol address, usually called an IP address, your browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. They exist to keep the website running and to defend it against abuse. The lawful basis is again legitimate interests.
What is not collected
There is no analytics software on this website, no advertising pixel, and no social media tracker. Nobody is profiled.
Cookies
Visiting this website sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for someone who signs in to manage the website, which is not something a visitor does.
Who else sees your information
- Hostinger, which provides the web hosting and therefore stores the website and its access records.
- B2B Engine, which maintains the website and can therefore reach anything stored on it. Contact form messages go straight to the artist and are not sent to B2B Engine.
- Google, because the typefaces used in the design are loaded from Google Fonts. Your IP address reaches Google when a page loads, because the font files are served from Google’s own network.
Your information is never sold, and it is never passed to anyone for marketing.
Information sent outside the United Kingdom
Loading the typefaces involves Google, which operates internationally. Where personal information reaches a country outside the United Kingdom, it is protected by the safeguards the law requires, meaning either an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
How long anything is kept
- Enquiry emails are kept while the conversation is still useful, and for no longer than 24 months after the last message.
- Server access records are overwritten within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal information is held about you, and receive a copy;
- have anything inaccurate corrected;
- ask for your information to be erased;
- ask that its use be restricted while a question about it is settled;
- receive your information in a portable form, or have it sent to someone else;
- object to its use where the basis for that use is legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time, where consent was the basis;
- not be subject to a decision made purely by automated means.
This website makes no automated decisions about anyone, so the last of those rights has nothing to bite on today. It is listed because the law lists it.
To use any of these rights, email maild1nsart@gmail.com. There is no charge. You will have an answer within one month.
If you want to complain
Please raise it directly first, because most things are quicker to put right that way. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page, and the date at the top changes with it.
